My musics been starting to sound like Shoegaze lately, but my big influences right now are anything but, and I've been a lot more conservative in my use of effects.
Shrug. I think a big reason for it is that I usually play by myself so I end up creating dense walls of sound. |

Centipedes in your vagina huh?
Nothing wrong with it. It is just interesting that sometimes I find myself going in musical circles. I was playing a song today that I just wrote and the chord progression sounded very strikingly MBV-like to me, but the structure of it and the vocal melodies made it sound like the bands I'm more intent on ripping off. |

My style changes so much it's iritating. Makes it hard to work on long projects. Makes it even harder to be in a band.

I think I'm starting to "get it." I used to look as guitars as all interchangeable but now I'm starting to really learn how to let their own voices show through.

Currently every song I play I have a point where I loop a part, slow it down then play some high notes and speed it back up. It sounds fucking insane, but I have to get better at it to make it more diverse. |

this is something i could get onboard with... i cant control my output - I'll write a three chord folk song and then want to rip of sonic youth... Writing on your own is a pain mind but you cant go wrong with mbv as a starting point. |

I like that. I was thinking about using my pretty singing voice in some song parts and then go into a high pitched insane freak voice when I need to crank it up a notch.

i am not technically the most profiecent player alive, so i tend to just play really fast, really loud, with tons of effects. i wouldnt prefer it any other way either.
