Yes your right, XTRMNTR is a killer album and essential listening. However, I've never understood why Gillespie being a dick, (which yes, he is) is a problem at all. All good rock-stars are twats as we've so throughly discovered recently, and he flies the ever-so wilting flag of rockn'roll high which few acts do these days. I feel people expect profoundity and coherant sense out of such a long-lived and prolific band, but PS are good-time music, something to drink beer too with mates and get with chicks.

The Gillespie hatred here stems from the fact that a lot of us are quite like old BG in many ways, except that he's successful, and we have to transmit our nerdy opinions on a messageboard rather than to a global audience. But oh how secretly we wish we could.
