I always hear "guy" instead of "guide" even though I know it is guide. Completely changes the meaning of the song.
I've been waiting for a guy to come and take me by the hand, will these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man? (Joy Division, Disorder) |

Thom yorke says "I can feel death" but I used to think he said "fuckin' feel dead" which suprised me of course.

And now I know how Joan of Arc felt.... But I misheard them as: And now I know that I'm adopted... The embarassing moment of revelation: I was singing in my worst Morrisey falsetto in my car when my roommate said, "What did you say?" I knew I was right, so I told him, "Now I know that I'm adopted...." OOPS! That website has some funny ones on it.

When I was a kid I always thought Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" was called "Even though".

Off that last Joanna Newsome record there's a song about a Meteorite or something and I thought she was singing about 'media rights'...

I remember reading about Megadeath (or some metally band like that)recording a version of Anarchy in the UK and instead of singing the line 'another council tenancy' sang it as 'and other cunt like tendencies'. Having never heard this version I couldn't say whether it's true or just some bit of pop music myth. But it's certainly amusing.

In Public Enemy's "Rebel Without A Pause", I used to think that 'That's the reason they're claiming I'm a-violent' was 'That's the reason they played it on a violin'.

In "to Forgive" by the Smashing Pumpkins, I always thought the line "nothing is important" was "nothing is a bother"
