That's very kool man, you and yr son have something special to remember the show by. Like HBJ said, I'd love to hear the recording too regardless of it's quality... "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to syouth69 again." |

Thanks a lot Pablo. I've read this at 9 o'clock, but after checking at the airport website, it seems they flew to Lima at 6.30.
It was a crazy moment when they started playing 100%. I had already read here that you asked for it, so I told to my friends: "I know the story behind this!". It was a blast, that, and just everything else. Now I'm at work and too tired to write my impressions, but as a first timer to a SY performance, there are a ton of things I'd like to point out about it and ask to SY connoisseurs. I think last night's show meant one of the highest cultural peaks for Uruguay, at these strange times things are going suspiciously fine for us. |

Hi ALL!!
Thank you for your words, honestly I had to recover the breath after the show!! Well, sorry, the sound of the recording was very bad... but, I have a friend who went also with a recorder, I have to ask him about how is the quality. About the set list, well you already saw the original set list, but as you know they perform more songs, here it is: Sacred Trickster Calming the Snake Starfield Road 100% Eric's Trip The Sprawl 'Cross the Breeze Schiz Flower * Drunken Butterfly What we know Teen age riot Sugar Kane Encore 1 Brave me run DV69 Encore 2 Tom violence * Between Flower and Drunken Butterfly, Providence was played in the background... Thank you again!! (I hope the peru people could send news for us!). Cheers! |

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was kinda busy with work and shit! I didn't have the time to post, but honestly of the four times I was able to witness the sound of SY, that night in Montevideo was by far the best. The setlist was out of this worild. "Flower" was included! "Starfield Road", too.The classic saga of "Brave men Run", "Tom Violence" and "Death Valley'69" was surreal! There wasn't a fan solo like the other day in Buenos Aires. But at the end when Lee & Thurston put their guitars & hit 'em in the air. It was like the Old Sonic Youth that we love, had revived! "Schizophrenia" was also a special moment. I hadn't listened to that song, live, since 2000. The Anfiteatro is really built up for this kind of events. You have a perfect view pretty much from every place of the theater. And share that moment with many friends who travelled all the way from Buenos Aires, was almost magical. And the Chivitos (typical uruguyan food) were also unbelievable capo, Sonic Youth 69!...gracias por pedirle a los chicos, "100%", gran momento. I have some pics, I will upload some, later. Cheers, everyone |
