Hi there!
I'm a musician who makes computer music. About 10 years ago, I made a still unreleased EP using exclusively Lee's "From Here To Infinity" as source material. Now that I have an Internet connection, I'd like to distribute it online for free but in order to do so, I need clearance from Lee. I sent a message to SY's Soundcloud but got no answer, so now I'm looking for his contact info. If anyone can provide it, it'd be great. BTW, if you're curious to know what this EP sounds like, please go there: http://www.indabamusic.com/asset/show/1720115 and don't hesitate to let me know what you think. You can comment on the page but it's better to do it on the comment bar which appears at the bottom of the waveform when you play the piece. (EDIT: In fact, in order to use the comment bar, I think you have to be a member of the Indaba community) |

May I ask what software did you use? I like what you did its interesting as a new piece while still referencing Lee's original sounds.

Hey The ?uestion Mark,
I just sent the link to this thread to Lee, hopefully he'll answer here. If you want you can drop me an email at rappard [at] gmail [dot] com and I'll forward whatever you sent me to Lee. My semi-educated guess is that as long as your intent is non-commercial, he'll be perfectly fine with it and is not going to U2/Negativland ya. ;-) |

This is fine w me as long as it's non-commercial and yr not charging anything for it. if you ever wanted to release this commercially we'd have to talk further.
