I excerpted the link above, but the long and short of it is that it has been well-documented that many early sightings were actually early AWACS radar planes and stealth aircraft. I firmly maintain that this is still the case. AWACS planes and stealth surveillance jets fly all over the world. In fact, many, many recent reports are of the "V-shaped craft" variety.

 

I also theorized earlier in the thread that the Harrier jump-jet with its ability to hover could be possibly be mistaken for a UFO by those with an active imagination. And the fact still remains that nearly all "sightings" take place near military bases. And this is easy enough to explain, because it's only when these aircraft are doing their approaches for landing that they are at a low enough altitude to be seen by the naked eye.

Besides, if anything, certain elements within our government want people to believe in UFOs. It's even possible that some sightings are even staged by agents of the U.S. government. It only serves to divide people more about their belief systems which is beneficial to a divide and conquer agenda.

All I do is offer the rational viewpoint of an educated person. And any educated person knows that interplanetary spacecraft and intra-dimensional time-travellers are not possible in this universe. This universe has been elegantly elucidated upon by Einstein whose work you obviously disregard in your persistent insanity. And dude, Einstein's truths have been with us since the early twentieth century and are the foundation of our modern understanding in the sciences, so you're really fucking very, very lost.

The concept of a light year is perhaps too much for the average Joe to handle. Even if a life form could exist in an extremely harsh (to us) environment and had an incredible lifespan it could take "forever" to get here. 186,000 miles per second comes out to about 5,850,000,000,000 miles per year. So if an alien were, say, 15,000 light years away...just do the math, it's not happening.

All I can say is, that if governments were hiding something, they are doing a pretty poor job, of extracting useful information from the aliens. I'm pretty skeptical of conspiracy theories, believing the cock up theory is more likely. The reports of sightings of UFO's can't all be caused by extra terrestrials, because they are mutually contradictory. But once you admit that some are mistakes, or hallucinations, isn't it more probable that they all are, than that we are being visited by people from the future, or the other side of the galaxy? If they really want to colonize the Earth, or warn us of some danger, they are being pretty ineffective.

And the quintessential Area 51 conspiracy—that the Pentagon keeps captured alien spacecraft there, which they fly around in restricted airspace? Turns out that one's pretty easy to debunk. The shape of OXCART was unprecedented, with its wide, disk-like fuselage designed to carry vast quantities of fuel. Commercial pilots cruising over Nevada at dusk would look up and see the bottom of OXCART whiz by at 2,000-plus mph. The aircraft's titanium body, moving as fast as a bullet, would reflect the sun's rays in a way that could make anyone think, UFO.

In all, 2,850 OXCART test flights were flown out of Area 51 while Slater was in charge. "That's a lot of UFO sightings!" Slater adds. Commercial pilots would report them to the FAA, and "when they'd land in California, they'd be met by FBI agents who'd make them sign nondisclosure forms." But not everyone kept quiet, hence the birth of Area 51's UFO lore. The sightings incited uproar in Nevada and the surrounding areas and forced the Air Force to open Project BLUE BOOK to log each claim.

Since only a few Air Force officials were cleared for OXCART (even though it was a joint CIA/USAF project), many UFO sightings raised internal military alarms. Some generals believed the Russians might be sending stealth craft over American skies to incite paranoia and create widespread panic of alien invasion. RIP Jim Marrs (December 5, 1943 – August 2, 2017)

We lost one of the best researchers, writers and speakers. His books provide a large trove of documented information that certainly challenges the cnn-fox versions of the world.

He'd been having a tough time, there was an interview recently on coasttocoast where Marrs described waking up blind in one eye, a piece of plaque instead of causing a stroke drifted and blocked the artery into the eye stopping the blood flow and the eye died.
