Indeed. It annoys me (more than it should) when people talk of MP being groundbreaking. What he does has been done by others before (and better). |

This is funny, Mike Patton makes fun of Wolfmother for being stuck in the 70's but beforehand he is talking about making 1960's Italian Orchestra music or something. *Note: I also hate Wolfmother.

at least he's choosing to emulate something worth two squirts. and it's not like that's the only style he's been focusing on, either. wolfmother on the other hand are pretty much stuck to their one sound b/c that's how they market themselves. and they suck.

I don't really care for Mr Bungle or Faith No More or Fantomas... but I just checked out some Tomahawk and Dillinger, and they are fucking kick-ass. Especially DEP.

Ahhh, that's just hatin' for the sake of hatin', Pookie. Also, I must state, I never said anything about him being god or anything about his voice. I merely put the bands that he has contributed in up for nomination. But he does have a fucking great voice, but I dig him more for his creativity than soley on his voice.

i didn't like that album they did after "irony is a dead scene". the guy was trying too hard to sound like mike patton, i think.

I don't think he is. I think he's got alot of his own style. It's a good album I think. He fits them more so than Patton.

you think? i think patton was perfect for them (at least for that ep). maybe i didn't give that other album a fair chance, though.

i didn't say that they weren't. i said the album after 'irony is a dead scene' wasn't as good, in my opinion, because it seemed as if dillinger's new singer was trying a bit to hard to sound like mike patton. that alone turned me off from that particular album.
