PLease discuss this album, for it is the greatest album ever made. Fugazi was basically the greatest band of the 90s (despite Pavement) and this album shows. You can tell that they took the most advantage of the recording studio with this album. The experimentation of guitar on this record is flawless. "Do you like me" starts with that great fucking noise section and then blasts into this dry toned fast guitar riff. Awesome. "Bed for scraping" lead guitar part is incredible I DONT WANNA BE DEFEATED! Fucking brilliant. "Latest Disgrace" is an amazing slow jam with a mindblowing chorus. "Birthday pony" is easily the worst song on the album. "Fell, Destroyed", "Target" and "Long Distance runner"; they speak for themselves as some of Fugazi's best tracks."Forensic Scene" is the best song on the album. Last but not least "By You" is one of the greatest noise tracks ever written. Whats your opinion on this album?

It's in my top 3 fugazi albums list.....if I had a list.
I love fugazi and I love this album. I just took it off my cd shelf to take out to my car in the morning.

Fugazi are one of my favorite bands ever. Red Medicine is the shit, but if I had had to rank them it would be my third or fourth favorite. In on the Kill Taker has always been my favorite. Red Medicine has the best packaging I think.

I'd put it in my top 3 or 4 Fugazi albums.
I like hopping around my room with my mp3 player with "Long Distance Runner" blasting. "Birthday Pony" is eh.

It's the only Fugazi Album that I've got and I can frankly say I never really got to understand it. It's weird to me.
Anyway, "Bed for Scraping is really an amazing song.

yes. my favorite one from start to finish. if they weren't fugazi, i would assume they smoked while making that one. fucking rules.
i watched instrument for the first time in awhile a week or two ago. whenever i watch it i wanna make an awesome rock band. then i play toy saxophone and shake coins.

i always thought repeater sounded like a cross between electric light orchestra and the jackson 5, with a little stix thrown in there. just listen to the 20 minute keyboard solo on shut the door!!! |

The album fucking rules. Fugazi could be the most consistant band ever, bar SY. All of their albums are completely different and very, very good.
The bass line in Bed For The Scraping is like woah. |

I don't bash people for stealing music very often but Dischord Records/Fugazi have always kept their prices VERY cheap. All their CDs are only $10ppd and when they did play live they only charged $5/$6 a ticket. If you dig the cd you should support Dischord. They are one of the last record labels out there that don't screw people over so return the favor.

I love this album also... it is so emotional and one where you can tell they really were trying to make a masterpiece. I would say the same for Argument, as well, both were clearly attempts to make the best work the band possibly could at the moment.
The evolution of the band is so clear on this album; they weren't content making just a rockin' album, they wanted to redefine the possibilities of rock. I like "By You"... it really has a depth of emotion in that fucking guitar. |

Very, very solid album. "By You" is fucking amazing.
I'd rank their albums like this: 1.The Argument 2.In On the Kill Taker 3.Red Medicine 4.End Hits 5.Repeater + 3 Songs 6.13 Songs 7.Steady Diet of Nothing 8.Instrument
