You're right, but the most striking is that at the end of the second sequence( the 'most' noisy if u will ) there's a guitar riff that sounds exactly like an other one from drunken butterfly ( with the same drumming too), check on the record (Dirty) around 1:45 and then listen to heather angel, stunning! I dunno if they did it on purpose though...

it's actually almost entirely based on thurston's performance of "altar boy, church basement" on the hurricane floyd cd that came out in around 1999 or so. rain on tin and new hampshire also use melodic bits from it.
