End of an Ear record store - south 1st just north of Oltorf
Wild Basin Nature Preserve - southish side of Cap. of Tx Highway Dim sum at Marco Polo - i35 and Oltorf Happy hour at Kyoto Japanese Restaurant - Congress betweeen 3rd and 4th. Delicious. Cheap. 6-7pm Antone's Records - Guadalupe a tad north of UT campus. While you're at it eat at Ruby's BBQ (NOT Rudy's!) Greenbelt greenbelt greenbelt. new Indian restaurant on Riverside Alamo Drafthouse and some other stuff.

don't sleep in the austin airport... it really sucks... all the seating has armrests to prevent you from lying down.. and they never turn off the just-loud-enough-to-echo-through-the-entire-terminal musak country/mariachi mix with the short playlist... THERE"S NO PLACE TO HIDE FROM IT!!!
