Perhaps old news but I knew about the kracklebox as i have the fmp/saj LP by michel wascicz the maker of the instrument who had made and given one to derek bailey (featured on a duo recording on incus w/ tristan hosinger i believe). but it wasn't until recently that i knew what it looked like, from a photograph in the recent issue of Signal to Noise #50. I have also just found in the gearography section under Lee's gear that Lee also has an actual Kracklebox (i remember seeing it listed in the liner notesof Fuck Shit Up w/ Thurston and Christian Marclay) there are photos of it under the amp/gear section for him in 2006.
Its the device in the wooden box, the way i understand it is that it has a circuit that works by using your fingers directly on the circuit board to create connections I remember finding a site a long time ago about obtaining a replica kracklebox based off the original design... |

$78.85
Wouldn't mind having one myself. Can't quite figure out what's in that transparent case on the right. |

yes, he was using that box on ToL gig in Brno last april. I saw him with this box for first time and was wondering what it is. I thought he made it himself, coz its wooden cover. yeah, some crazy sounds he did with that. hold on, I have it on video, I'll try upload that part.
