It is one of the best pieces of improvised music I have ever heard. It starts out so elegant and then total destruction. Both guitarists compliment eachother so well with their playing. Post any thoughts or comments you have about this record. Also if anyone has any information about this gig, any at all, please post it. I wish i could find the whole video of this beautiful gig. Any thoughts?

It was actually not released on the Rhino Label.
It was a split release for a few different labels..... Quote:

I was talking to Nels Cline one time and he said that Jim O'rourke was considering putting it out on vynil but appearantly that project fell off his radar.

I caught Nels Cline's show in Charlottesville, VA this summer, and I was pretty blown away.
I was familiar with his work in Wilco, but I had never really heard any of his solo stuff until then. |

Ghost is Born has some pretty crazy and good moments on it. Definitely felt a strong Jim O'Rourke influence throughout the whole thing. Also, Loose Fur is great... Maybe I just don't know any Wilco fanboys, but this can't be that shocking to them.................... ..can it? |
