Well, I still do, but I realized I love the band's 2-4 albums, especially "The Faith" and "Pornography", before I had heard all the preceeding albums, all of which I can't stand, even "Disintegration". But, "Seventeen Seconds", "Pornography", and "The Faith" is the dark, melodic, atmospheric yet catchy pop music that I love.

Those last 3 you mentioned are dark gold. I actually listened to Seventeen Seconds and Pornography last night around 1am. Near perfection

robert smith is so lovable. like a big teddy bear with a popy-sad voice and too much makeup.

There maybe be some truth in that. I still love Wish, though.

Faith and Pornography are two of my favorite albums ever. Not sure if I'd put Seventeen Seconds on the same pedestal. It has a bit of filler and it can be pretty samey if I'm not in the mood for it, but it's still an indispensable Cure album, if only for gems like Play for Today, A Forest, and M.

I've listened to all their albums except their newest one. I have a friend who just loves them. They have a couple cool songs, and they actually have a LOT of great songs on their first album, but all in all I think they're not that great of a band. "Pornography" bores the hell out of me. Their first album and Disintegration are pretty decent though. Just never saw the big fuss I guess.

I like the albums batreleaser mentioned (except for Faith) a lot, as well as Three Imaginary Boys, some of Kiss Me... and Disintegration.

A Reflection from Seventeen Seconds is probably my favorite album intro ever. I prefer that album to Faith, but to me they are similar in vibe.

You should revert back to your original beliefs, the Cure is terrible, unless you like that sort of thing.
