Sad news. I've missed several chances to see him. I'm regretting it a lot right now.

And OF COURSE, mainstream U.S. news media -TV, specifically-, just won't give a flying fuck about their own country's true artists. Yesterday, the BBC dedicated a note to Les Paul and even showed a bit of an awesome Neil Young clip playing a Gibson LP. CNN? Nothing, as always. Virtually every one of those awesome pro-shot DVDs we get from Dime (nightly talk shows excluded) are European broadcasts. Anderson Cooper and his team of bimbos spend 9.7 billion hours a week on a flash-in-the-pan like Michael Jackson (sorry, that's what he was) and are absolutely oblivious of the real 20th Century giants. And AC is supposed to be the best shit out there. The FUCK.
INTERSTELLAR SPACE FOREVER.

Not sure if you're joking or not, but I wouldn't expect someone like Rashied Ali to get mass coverage like that, even if Les Paul didn't die on the same day.
