It was Thurston Kim and Yoko doing Mulberry with projection of Fly. And for encore Kim and Thurston took the first verse on Give Peace a Chance (that was pretty awesome). I have the full setlist/program at home I'll see if I can post it later.

I was there last night -it was a great show. Surprisingly, a highlight was Bette Midler's preformance of "I'm Your Angel."

Bette Midler is a hell of a preformer!
Kim seemed a bit awkward, esp when given the mic w thurston to sing "give peace a chance." It was cute though - thurston & kim were actually acting a little bit couple like. i love those rare moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPAz5okXlHw --> a vid of "give peace a chance" from the rehearsal the night before.

There was an interesting Kim Fowley interview in a recent Goldmine. Fowley was the host for this show, he claims he arranged for Lennon to play the gig, invented the waving of cigarette lighters at this gig, and that Lennon was so nervous he got sick beforehand and Fowley had to push him on stage. The Doors headlined this show but it is not known if Morrison and Lennon met. |

Yeah I listened to it and it is interesting. It really seems that the guitarist (?) Sean Lennon has been lisening to Tom Morello.

to be clear, i meant the late 60's & early 70's Ono records were/are raddness. the new one, i've just heard samples online, and seems a mixed bag to me... i just moved and found a video store with all or most of yoko's performance/art films available for rent. |
