ok. movie happens. two married people, meet, have an affair, get delusional, plan to run away together, then do not because one of them is an idiot and breaks his legs trying , for some fucking reason, to skateboard with teens instead of meeting this gorgeous woman he was going to leave his wife for, leaving them all exactly where they were when they started the movie.
NOTHING! there is NOTHING THERE!!!!!!

more or less correct Quote:
this is where you're veering off course. you can't have some kind of shootout with 9 dead people in this movie to "signify" change-- the change obviously happens in their brains-- the story, the acting, clearly indicate this. clearly!! he calls for his wife to pick him up. she runs home with her baby. hello? now, is this a more "quiet", restrained and subtle change than the usual schock & cheeze fest of usual hollywood movies? you bet my man-- but see, they've got you accustomed to artificial sweeteners and now you're claiming that the food has no taste! |

I saw no change by will I saw reverting back to old roles, of husband, of mom. the movie held my interest though. and the ugly fuck from the bad news bears was very good.

yeah but they were not IN the old roles-- especially the prom king-- he was a lying unemployed wanker with a peter pan complex! gravity proved otherwise. as pan can fly. im sad that the movie (because of movie restrictions having to do with time etc) didn't deal with the slutty kay situation because she goes back to taking care of her kid basically alone. when things change, they don't necessarily change for the better... |

Okay, okay, these people love HARD BOILED and they only saw it on a bootleg and they can't get their own copy of it so they have to remake their own version with, like, pop guns and you know.. like, a really ridiculous trashy version of Hard Boiled.. called Soft Boiled.
And my girlfriend just said that Be Kind Rewind already did something like that so nevermind. |

Be Kind Rewind is one of the only Jack Black movies I've ever enjoyed. If not for the glass-breaking scene alone.
