It's only natural for anyone to distance themselves from any group of people who like to talk about music so much, at least for a while, considering all the negativity that often comes from it, which inevitably manages to bury all the good things. completely agree on the first 5 points, however the sy thing will turn around soon when the new record comes out

yes thats all pretty much true. plus the fact that people are shouted down by regular board members for no real reason and the constant self loathing/loving generally prevelent here. people posting porn in regular threads is also a contributing factor.

i also go for the lack of musical closed mindedness of folks.

I was just going to ask what happened to Demonrail. I miss him and Melly. I think their personalities (honest, witty, knowledgeable without pretension, very British somehow) neutralised the stereotypical forum-isms you get on here and every Internet forum (childish arguments which get incomprehensibly serious, Internet personas which bare no resemblance to real-life selves). There remains lots of great posters on here but I do hope they return.
