I was just starting my morning off by listening to some Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys. "Make a thread," the voice said. Bluegrass is the music of my childhood (or one of them) - I have some relatives that run a bluegrass barn and I used to go there a lot growing up. (this is it) I'm hardly an expert though. Recommend some other good stuff. |

I like Peter Rowan although he has a more Western feel. He definately has a great voive. Del McCourey Band has always been great live.

Last weekend my Dad found a 5 LP at the Flee Market called Folk Songs and Instrumental Music of the Southern Mountains. THere's some really good bluegrass stuff on it. Very good find
