Not the most ridiculous EXCUSE.

But the most ridiculous reason you decided to call in to work.

...About 2 years ago, I was completely obsessed with strategy-rpg game Disgaea 2. I was so into the game that hours and hours would pass without me even noticing. One time I was in the item world and I didn't have any way to get out and save and I still had a good 30 floors to go and there's no way I'd be able to finish it before I went to work... so I called into work. I spent the whole night playing Disgaea 2 and enjoying life.

In fact, I'll go so far as to say, even if I haven't done ANYTHING, not going to work has always been awesome. Even if I just stay home and sleep... it always rules.

The first time I missed work, I didn't even call in. I think I spent the time sleeping in my car and hanging out with my unemployed friend.

The pay just wasn't worth the hassle (the job was very labor intensive) that day.

i guess it when i skipped to watch huckleberry finn on tcm, i just had the tv on while i was getting dressed and i was like........this movie looks good, my work is not good so fuck i'm not going to miss the conclusion for fckin value village

haha, that's true, at times. I'm an art teacher so my kids are rarely "bad". I truly love my students most of the time. But you would not believe how "bad" kids can change the dynamics of the classroom. Ya better get them under your thumb QUICK or they will eat you alive.

Hey thats a pretty neat job!

Are you a proper qualified art teacher or is it just a sort side thing?

I use to teach after school art classes to about 10 primary school kids aged from 6-12. So much fun

My long term goal (one of them) is to teach 10->12 art classses, and that is a massive fear of mine. I dont actually have a real problem with jerk kids, but I still struggle with the concept of how I'd go about making the class fulfilling in some way for EVERYONE in the room.
