hey i know of 3 peel sessions... 1986 (hallowed be thy name, etc); 1988 (the Fall covers session); and 1989 (SPEAK NO EVOL). are there others floating around? were these the only 3 they did?

I'm not sure, but regardless they should be given a dedicated release -just like PJ Harvey's and Mogwai's rather excellent Peel Session tapes have been.

Peel Sessions are always the best.
with almost every band I love, these recordings are always my favorite. the Peel Sessions of Spiritualized, Jesus and Mary Chain, Pixies and even the White Stripes (I'm not sure if they are among my favorite bands, but the two sessions I have rock) are what I listen to the most. R.I.P. John Peel |

your book is nice and all, but i'd prefer an lp over an mp3. an lp is a document, i'm willing to pay money for a document of time(s) in sy's history. especially if there were some pics + words involved. but that's just me. you wouldn't have to buy it.

are you trying to pick an argument for the sake of it or did you just completely misinterpret me? your "book" is different to mine; i personally regard peel sessions as seperate entities from live gigs. from that you've somehow taken the rediculous leap from me suggesting the idea of a dedicated SY Peel Session release in my last post; to SY releasing every live show ever on wax. that's pure farce and it's left me wondering what exactly you're smoking. but yeah actually i regularly listen to SY bootlegs because i think they're are at their best live - and the two times i've had the privilege to see them live, they blew me away. it's nice reliving that experience.
