Ticketmaster
Password: Daydream I don't know if it is over or not though. My English teacher (a very badass teacher), told me in class today that there was a presale because he knows that I like SY (he isn't a fan) and let me call my dad to tell him to buy tickets. And that was cool. Anyone else going to go? |

I got 3 tickets presale. They are in section C.
Do you know if they save some of the better tickets for the actual date that they start selling them so that all of the good seats don't all sellout in the presale? Because I don't really like the seats I got and I'm wondering if I should have waited until april 1 to get tickets. That is, if they do put limitations on the presale. |

I'll be there. I'm really stoked. Got a couple of seats in the Orchestra. I've never been to this venue, but I can't imagine it is all that big. There are some open dates in their calendar, so I can see them announcing a Fillmore show also. Wouldn't surprise me. But, damn, Daydream Nation in its entirety? I'll never forget getting that album after Christmat break from McGill and totally digging it. They never did come to Montreal for that tour. Yeah, I'm old. ;-)
Can anyone else give any details on what this venue is like? It's right near BART, which is cool. |

Ticketmaster pre-sales are a joke, always only bad seats, or at least, worse than the public on-sale. For the Greek, pre-sale I was pulling up sec B rows W and V, and various sec C rows (A-J). Public onsale I got sec A, row E (score!). Today I was using the American Express option rather than the general option.
This is where it gets weird, I also pulled up PIT tickets (whoa!) so I immediately snagged them, quick, super quick, before the timer runs out and they release them to someone else. I zoom through the screens, get the confirmation email and it says tickets were $999 each. But at least there was no booking fees on top of that. Turns out American Express Gold Card was having some unlisted, unadvertised exclusive thing where they had the best seats in the house and are selling them to cardmembers at ridiculous prices. I've complained and am trying to get the pit tickets for the $38 they listed them for on the initial concert listing page. As much as I love SY and Daydream, $999 is a bit much. But that's concert promoters in LA for you. |

Fuck. I should have waited. I checked today and they had some section B seats but I already had some section C tickets. This sucks. The show looks like its going to be lame. From the looks of it, it looks like people have to sit in seats. I'll barely even be able to see the band because I'm so far away too. I don't even want to go anymore.
I hope they do a show at a smaller venue in LA without assigned seating. |

I hate that Ticketmaster does this whole "fill out all your information in two-three mintues" or lose the tickets. Once you have them you should have them, Tickemaster is so fucking lame wish Sonic Youth were smarter pulled a Pearl Jam Anti-Ticketmaster thing, because they are full of shit.

My dad didn't want to get good seats. He wanted to be an ear friendly distance away.

yeah, it would be cool to see them do daydream at a theatre, like the wiltern or something (i would like to be able to bounce around with giddyness and ecstacy without any seating restraints)... if they do i might sell my greek tickets... how big is the greek? if i am in the middle of B section (J row, actually), do i need binoculars?

The Greek is actually not that bad, I don't think you need binoculars anywhere you sit, since its arranged on an incline and anywhere you sit, no matter how far back, you can see the band pretty good.
