I don't think it matters that much man, calm down. They are pretty much synonymous, except global climate change could imply that it is getting colder. Climate change doesn't imply that it is being induced naturally, so I don't see how you could find it politically incorrect.

If nothing else, just the sheer fact that there are more 98.6 degree bodies inhabiting our planet everyday leads to a 'warming' !!
Besides the emissions coming from tailpipes and smokestacks. Nothing will get better in the long run with uncontrolled population increases. All the good gets smothered by the negative. Take for instance this..... You have a roomful of 100 people, all it takes is ONE smoker to affect the entire group. They all breathe the smoke. One bad apple CAN spoil the whole bunch, even with 99% of the group being non-smokers.... yeah....it doesn't take much to ruin what good several can create.

synth's instinct is right, but wrongly applied here.
media outlets like fox news often manipulate the language and create euphemisms or stereotypes to present the news in a light that suits them. in spite of their slogan "we report, you decide", their reporting is ideologically loaded, because of their clever manipulation of language. now, whereas "global warming" sounds like an alarm, "global climate change" has a milder ring to it. however, this is a technically correct term used by scientists. no to worry then. ps- make sure you spellcheck your thread titles, unless you want to invite atari's rants into your thread. |
