My step dad used to be really into zappa, he bought all of his records and stuff. One day he bought me a morphine album because it was on rykodisc; the same label as zappa, i instantly took a likening to them.
There were kinda bluesy alternative rock band around from 1989 to 1999, when Mark sandman the singer and two string bass player unfortunately died of a heart attack. Are there any sonic youth fans who listen to morphine? |

Rob likes 'em.
I don't devote any time to Morphine, and I'm someone that even likes horns a whole lot when done well. Their songs don't do much for me. |

I'm not super into them because they don't have walls of fuzzed out guitar and crashing drums, but they are pretty "chill."
The album Good is good. |

Morphine is and was one of my favorite bands.
Cure For pain, like Swimming, Yes, all sorts of great shit Mark Sandman (RIP) called morphine LOW-ROCK No guitars, two string slide bass, guy playing two saxophones at once. great fucking drummer. Their music is fucking amazing. wholly original and noone can touch them. plus they were older than the average band when they began so they sang about much more subtle shit than the typical cliches.

I'd rather inject bleach into my eyeballs than listening to Morphine ever again.
