manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the
disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head.
SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players. This release is also part of the 200-album SHM-CD Series Campaign from Universal Music
Japan.

yeah like i said not too interesting (to me at least) but thought someone else might care

It's interesting in that this is the first time I'm hearing of the 200-album SHM-CD Series Campaign from Universal Music Japan.

I found that the 2-disc Shine A Light soundtrack for the new Rolling Stones performance doc by Scorsese is part of the 200-album SHM series being released.
