Most overrated film ever. I really get what all the fuss was about after it got re-released and was shown on ch4.

The only films I really liked Dustin Hoffman in were Marathon Man and Death of a Salesman.

i thought "straw dogs" was a fine film..
a very young dustin hoffman is learning violence.. some sexy parts.. very old film.. cannot construct sentences, must be tired or overbored..

oh fucking great movie!!! fuckin A!!!! peckinpah is fucking great even though i prefer the wild bunch, the cross of iron, bring me the head of alfredo garcia, pat garret & billy the kid & other of his movies though. i haven't yet seen "ride the high country" & that is my loss--
btw susan george is pretty hot in that movie although her character is pretty passive & a bit stupid by today's standards |

didn't really understood the big fuss. decent film but not anything particularly exciting -- i bet it was at the time it came out though.
then again i didn't think "brazil" was that good either. (you know, just to talk about films with huge cult followings) |
