When I first heard them, I was really indifferent, but as of late, they've really grown on me.
Rated R is a very fine album in my opinion; Self-titled isn't bad either. Fans? |

I have Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun, but I don't find myself listening to it much.
I know QOTSA sound commercial, that's why at first I was indifferent, but I find that they're a really fun, good band. |

I like Songs For The Deaf the most, but none of their albums consistently intrigue me all the way through. I like the Lanegan songs the least.

amen brother, amen. i liked lullabies a lot after a couple of listens, i like that they have these really compressed, well written pop rock songs, and then the second half is more jam-oriented, songs for the deaf bores me after track 5 or 6, rated r is teh qotsa album by excellence, i haven't heard the s/t. but yeah, give me the best quotsa record and kyuss can surpass that with any intro of any of their songs. |

i like QOTSA. i have Rated R and Songs for the Deaf and i like them both (SFTD just barely tops RR).
but, yes, Kyuss is superior.

I used to not care for them that much and only checked them out because of Mark Lanegan and wasn't impressed, but then Lullabies to Paralyze changed all that and I like them a lot now.

queens of the stone age and the eagles of death metal is basically party music.. they do have some good songs and some boring ones that are repetitive and long..
it balances out in the end.. and yes, they are practically the same band..
