Yeah, My Name Is Earl is tonight also. Big whup. I'll watch it too though.
Is it "whup" or "whoop?" I think it used to be "whoop" but now it's "whup." Google sez "whoop" has more results though. Oh well, big whup. At any rate, I don't want to write on the NBC board. Despite any critical inclinations I may display at times, you guys and gals are much cooler. I write that though after never having posted or even read the NBC board, so I could be wrong. It's just a supposition, I suppose. |

Hurrah!
I'm ready to forget the troubles of the world for a little while! And use excessive exclamation points to express my exaltation! |

I don't like it.
I'm watching Mad Men on AMC for the first time. Not a bad series. Pretty interesting really.

Okay, yeah. I'm kind of fascinated.
I've seen three episodes in a row tonight, and I'm hooked. I'm in the one right now where the boss guy was in a car accident and broke his arm. Part of the fun is a lot this looks like the world I grew up in during the 60s. Very familiar things.

oh, that's the best episode of the season. the last ten minutes are the best. boss guy (don draper) pops up when you don't expect him..
but yeah, the first season arc is all about how don draper came to be who he is as a person. it's gripping. and joan, the redhead, wore better clothes last season.

Ah, Mad Men Emmy hype and the resulting johnny-come-latelys.
When I had cable I watched Mad Men from the beginning and it's good, but it's not like it's as great as it's made out to be. For all of its quasi-innovative coolness factor, in the end it's sort of a good period-version of a soap opera. Remember when Michael was telling a coming down Ryan what to do about his friend (the little guy) that was abusing drugs? The Office is hysterical. |

It's just I have other things to do in my life and don't have the time to watch everything that's on television.
I think it's as great as it's made out to be, frankly. Maybe even better than it's made out to be. I was completely unaware of any hype, actually. I just stumbled on it tonight because I couldn't find anything else to watch.

Pah-lease, the season premiere of The Office is on tonight.
Oh man, this stuff on Earl with Beau Bridges seeking revenge for his wife's cheating is very funny. He's going to the various clerks that have flirted with him...just too funny. |

Yeh, I'm enjoying it.
I'd be in real trouble if I had tivo. I'd never get anything done!

I like My Name is Earl better than the Office. There's something lovable about all those totally white trash characters. |

I'm kind of tired of Mad Men. Don Draper is such a fucking dickhead. I don't really care about his character anymore. It's interesting to see life in another time, but meh. I'm excited for Breaking Bad season 2 though. I think the characters are much more likable despite the bad things they do. |
