any of them.. arab strap are great.... shame they have called it a day tho....
my personal favs are mad for sadness, philophobia, monday at the hug and pint and last romance.. also check out aidain moffats solo album, i can hear your heart.. actually check it here... its funny, sad, nice, filthy, all in one big poetic dollp... download it and listen then go and buy it because it comes with a little book which enhances the audio no end, he even says that in track one... excellent talent from scotland! |

I like it in the background, but I can't actively listen to it.

I really enjoy Malcolm Middletons solo albums, check out Into The Woods, that's probably my favourite one.

Fucking love them. As others have said, Philophobia & Mad For Sadness are their defining moments, but it's all great stuff. The Ten Years of Tears comp is certainly worth checking out too, since it's got a load of rarities & obscure tracks from across their entire career.

Picked up the Shy Retirer EP today. Miss this band. They were/are so much better than their "influences", Smog (who I sometimes like) and Will Oldham (who I can't fucking stand) both of whom are still making music.

I bought the Red Thread or whatever many years ago and thought it was alright but I didn't miss it when I sold it.

they're very different. I enjoy both a lot. Smog diversifies a lot more. AS's output is way more monolitihic.
