In 1990 a similar thing happened. Of course it was an AM and a PM phenomena. I'd met a numerologist friend that summer, so I started thinking in those terms for a bit. I came up with this, never read about it and while I was at the beach at the PM time, I stood up and looked around and didn't notice anyone seeming to realize the significance of the moment.

12:34:56,7-8-90

Twelve thirty four, fifty six seconds July 8, 1990.

The next best complete one like that I could think of would've been

1:23:45,6-7-89

But I hadn't thought of that the year before so it went by unnoticed by me. But I freaked out when I realized that 1990 number sequence and REALLY took notice !!

But does it really make sense to go 'medium sized unit/ smaller unit thereof/ larger unit'? Surely 'small unit/ larger unit/ larger unit again' makes more sense? Or at least 'largest unit/ smaller/ smallest'.

See, calender systems with jump months, or two iterations of one month - that makes sense, because the rationale is apparent (if not transparent). But I don't understand the fundamental rationale behind putting months before days before years. You see? Probably not.
