Probably left this a little late, but if anyone's going to any of the upcoming 4 shows, let me know!
Portland in particular as I'm getting in quite early and will have a lot of time to kill.........

I'm going to Portland. It's going to rock, too. I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but Thurston is DJing at Jackpot Records downtown (9th & Burnside, a block down from Powell's) at 3PM. If I don't go hiking I'm definitely hitting that.

I'll be at the Portland show would love to connect during the show. Before hand I have an agenda (including work while Thurston is djing, grrr!) that will take up too much of my time to hang out. But once the show starts, yeah!

I'm thinking of going to Seattle, but I need a way to get there... My bf couldn't get the time off to go, and I don't have a car... and the bus is like $70, roundtrip.
Anyone who's driving down want a bit of gas money? p.s. Chris, I'm definately going to Virgin Fest. Let me know your plans, you should come hang out with us before or after (and during!). |

going to see Jesus Lizard tonight, so no spokane show for me, but I am going to Seattle (it's like .5 miles from me) and had a friend convince me to keep my tickets for the portland show. Should be a gnarly time.

I'll be at the Vancouver show on Sunday! I'll have this shirt on and my girlfriend will be wearing this platform boot. Whoever finds us gets to smoke a big fatty (while supplies last!).

oooooh... don't be that guy. it's a general rule that you don't wear the shirt of the band that you are going to see. |

Not applicable at a festival where they're at least 5 slots down from the headliner. And considering how many people were mystified by my Boredoms shirt yesterday (except all members of SY's crew), I'm content to be 'that guy' wearing a Nurse shirt @ the Seattle gig tonight... say hi if you see me! Julia - I'll msg you...I'm thinking of heading back to the island right after SY since they're playing so early in Vancouver.

To everyone who wants to go to the Vancouver show but can't afford it, check craigslist for tickets. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/tix/
Make sure they're hard copy though. I've seen a bunch going for really cheap. |

Well despite efforts to connect on the part of Chris and flophousefloozie, I managed to not hang out with any of you at the show. I did run into my friend Tiffany, and I was with my wife up front for a while until she became overheated and had to bail. Whatever, I had the coolest spot, and I nailed quite a few shots I liked. I talked to Steve and when I yelled for "Silver Rocket" a few songs before they did it, Thurston started playing a little bit of it teasingly. First round of pic is below.

Show was really good, better than the Seattle shows, but dude, that venue was soooo hot. It was 107 outside, probably 120 - 130 by the time SY finished up. I over heard the lady taking drink orders say that their AC broke earlier that day. Ugh. Got back to seattle around 230am and got up for work around 7am.

That was the hottest motherfucking show I have ever attended. Good performance by SY despite that though. I had a much better experience in Portland than at that ridiculous Block Party.
rock on. |

Balcony is for old folks! I actually considered climbing the barricade and stage diving (ok, I was a little drunk...) but decided getting ejected and missing any of the show would be way too big of a loss. |
