So, who's gonna hit that up? It's supposed to be tonight and tomorrow night. What're your plans? Where are you going to go to catch the action? If you get pix, post them in this thread.
I'll be going about a mile out of town (this is Wyoming, I don't have to go far to see every fucking star in the sky) and I will be with my camera. |

What time is this supposed to happen at? In real time, and by that I mean, not that goofy mountain timezone.

Yeah, I think that's the problem for me too, Omaha gives off too much of its own glow.

omaha is very bright. I believe there are observatories close that had to shut down or cease as research sites.

I think the UNO campus uses a shut down observatory as some kind of performing space. I've never been to it, but I think there is one somewhere north of the city, in the 'haunted/albino village/woods/park'.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to see it in Montreal, but man those are entertaining to watch. They're so bright when you go to the cottage or a remote area and stargaze

You've obviously never seen a meteor shower in an unpolluted sky. |

A meteor crashed not too far from my house when I lived in Northern Wyoming, back in 04 or something for that meteor shower. I saw it burning up with a plume of smoke behind it as it entered the atmosphere. It was fucked up.
Also, I saw the northern lights on two occasions here in WY. |
