I fucking hate Superman. He's too powerful. It's too easy. Why create a superhero character that has only one weakness? And why have it be such an obscure one at that? I mean, a fucking radioactive rock hurts him? But not humans? Lame!!! I always hated that. I mean, this guy could be at the center of a nuclear bomb explosion and walk away unscathed, but if someone hold s alittle green rock near him he folds like a newspaper?? I don't buy it. Superman needs to have more weeknesses to be a better character.
Superman is just way too powerful. It's like what a child would make up if he could make a superhero: one that's all powerful. Just too boring.

Plus, the movie looks horrible. Bryan Singer may have directed and produced some good movies (The Usual Suspects, House M.D.) but I really didn't like his handling of the X-Men series. It seems kind of lame. It just wasn't the right thing for him. He stated himself that he didn't really know too much about X-Men and it shows in his work. The new movie may be well directed, but I don't know, another Superman movie??? Come one, let it die with Christopher Reeve.

Batman dominates Superman. He doesn't even have any powers. Superman has a severe dependency problem. He would never make it without his precious abilities.
The only superhero that's cooler than Batman is Gambit. He's Cajun, a thief, carries around a deck of cards, uses the King of Hearts as a "pick-up line,"and sacrificed his powers to be with Rogue. That's one badass romantic mutant. I earned the nickname "Gambit" in high school because I always had a deck of cards with me, and let me tell you, it was the most humbling experience of my life. |

Yeah Gambit rules.
I haven't seen the movie and prob. won't until it hits on HBO. I do have to say that Kevin Spacy as Lex Luthor is genius.

the guy doesn't fight for the american way anymore. "truth, justice, and all that stuff?" screw that.

I think it's supposed to be that he fights using truth and justice for the American way. Which is to say, sex, drugs, and rock & roll. But no one caught that so they just shrugged it off.

I take that more personally than if you had called me a twat.
Which probably proves your point. |
