in the eyes of the governemnt, John lennon was subversive, which he WAS, he was an instigator, which he WAS, he was someone looking to usurp the status quo, which he tried to do.
john lennon ruled all.

Looks more intresting then the hollywood movie with Lindsay Lohan. I think it has less to do with John Lennon's "paranoia" about the U.S. Goverment being after him, and more to do with the idea that he and many other anti-war activists were used as a distraction by the goverment to take attention away from the Vietnam War and the president's other "projects", and the film is saying that when you think about, its not much different then what's happening now.

yeah, i want to see this flick. Lennon was definitely under govt surveillance(FBI) when he came to the states. That's no longer disputed. They were worried about him. They just released memos that were confidential for over 20 years. read more here: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...home-headlines

i could see the us government worried about lennon. he was a communist, an anti-war activist, and everyone was hearing these ideas and opinions through his songs on the radio.
he just wasnt standing on a soapbox, the man had an outlet for his views, he had the ability to greatly influence. porky is so stubborn...... |
