I like when bands can cover a song and instead of doing a straight up version of it, they make it their own and add their own touch to it. I want to hear other artists interpretations of people's work.So start reccomending some...
I liked: Nirvana- Lake of fire, Oh Me, Plateau, Man Who Sold The World Raconteurs- A house is not a motel Johnny Cash, Rowboat, Hurt Sonic Youth- Within you, without you ,Hallowed be thy name, i am right, electricity, ca plane pour moi Thurston Moore- European Son Pixies- Head On Jesus and Mary Chain- Vegetable Man White Stripes- Jolene Replacements- Black Diamond, Jean Genie Radiohead- Nobody Does It Better Built To Spill- Mr.Crowley, What Goes On, Whiteman in Hammersmith , Re-arrange. While My Guitar Gently Wheeps SRC- Dear Landlord 13th Floor Elevators- Its All Over Now Baby Blue Sex Pistols- Substitute Bob Dylan- Rollin and Tumblin, Lost Highway Pontiac Brothers- Brown Eyed Lady, Magneto and Titanium Man Smashing Pumpkins- Clones, My Blue Heaven Dinosaur Jr- Just LIke Heaven, Quicksand, Chunks

I really like foetus and lydia lunch singing "Why don't we do it in the road" by the beatles.
Also Hayden covering "Gouge away" by the pixies. And pretty much every cover psychic tv ever did. I'm blown away.

Johnny Cash did a good cover of Beck's 'Rowboat'. And... I think he did 'Rusty Cage' by Soundgarden too. Those were pretty good.
And of course, Hendrix's 'All Along The Watchtower' was just amazing. Same with Hey Joe, to a lesser extent. |
