Europe's oldest prehistoric settlement yet found, in Bulgaria. It is from 4700-4500 BC. Pretty cool. I bet they were all anarcho-punks even then. Bulgarian women have sweet pussy lips I hear... like honeydew....

The cave paintings in northern spain carbon-date to 40,000 years ago.
although I know they've not been found, I reckon the painter lived in a settlement... |

I do fantastic cave paintings of spacepeople, by the by.
They've all been left in Oz, but I'm feeling inspired to create more. |

That is a very elitist attitude.
There are no permanent walls at Burning Man; however, once a year, for 10 days, Black Rock City is one of the largest 'official' cities in Nevada. It's back, every year, on the same site. There's even an FAA registered airport. Does impermanence preclude settlement? What about the Mongols? Or the plains indians of America? |

that whole "official cities" shit is nonsense. Burning man is just a large campground. a settlement needs to have some long lasting permanence.
Nomadic peeps have no setttlements. they just have places they camp out at. settlemeents imply commerce, agriculture, social strata, hot ladies looking for juicy dongs....

I have a dear friend who would very well be able to 'officially' argue with you, as he, and those who work for him, LIVES half the year at this so-called 'campground' that you speak of.
I reckon there might even be a Bulgarian or two on the crew. I want firm parameters to follow your arbitrary dismissal. How many? How long? Wpuld you like pictures of walls???/ |

grip it on another level space, the article was not written by I, just posted on here by I
as far as burning man goes, you may as well call any convention full of oil men or librarians or secondary education specialists a settlement.

I'm only dickering because I have a massive headache, and entertainment alleves the pain.
That said, I long for the day that you eat your 'hippie bullshit' words. The drawing factor is art, sir. There are hippies at Burning Man, much the same as they reside in your current neighborhood, or settlement, if you wish. I swear you would regret your off-handed stereotyping, once you took your first step Home. By the Dark God of the Pox-Eclispe and His Fecal Children, MAKE IT SO. For now, ask yourself, "would they, could they, ever still be a hippie inside The Thunderdome?" |

Cool, with the exception of Suchfriends, this thread now has every poster here who might be able to help me with something: tacos.
1. Baja or Al Pastor? 2. Should the fish be grilled or fried or deep fried? 3. Are they really better south of the border? 4. How many should a reasonable-bordering-on-greedy person order in a single go? 5. Restaurant/cafe or street vendor? 6. Cheese or no cheese? Sorry for hijacking, but had to seize the opportunity. |

Cool, with the exception of Suchfriends, this thread now has every poster here who might be able to help me with something: tacos.
1. Baja or Al Pastor? baja CALIFORNIA (that's lower california not just "lower") is a fish taco, al pastor is usually pork but cooked like shawarma (like, hm, kosher pig. but tasty). used to be a middle eastern thing but got porkified by the mexicans. so depends where you are. i'd say go with whatever you fucking want. 2. Should the fish be grilled or fried or deep fried? i haven't had a good fish taco in ages but i recall a light crispy batter so i'd go with quickly deep fried. however i've never been to baja california so i don't know how they make them there. 3. Are they really better south of the border? south of your border you have france so i will say yes, anything is better there 4. How many should a reasonable-bordering on greedy person order in a single go? 14 5. Restaurant/cafe or street vendor? whoever can better wash their hands after wiping their arsehole. im gonna go with restaurant, though it's no guarantee 6. Cheese or no cheese? cheese on a taco is a tex-mex atrocity. a fish taco ought to be fresh and light. a taco al pastor does NOT go with cheese. butterfat and pig fat is just too unholy. Sorry for hijacking, but had to seize the opportunity. thanks for getting this thread back from armpit city i'd suggest pursuing more research on the tacos al pastor concept |
