It's almost a preview of what attending a Sonic Youth show will be like in 25 years from now.

That is the most bizarre thing I've seen/heard in a while. Thanks for sharing.

That was... bizarre. Not very "cool," but definately an interesting hear/see. The "ah ah ah" parts are neat, but the "Kim vocals" part was kind of poorly sang, if you ask me.

Yeah I'm glad I got to see this, but I don't know what to think. I mean it feels like both the audience and the chorus don't really "get it".

and this is what i was referring to.
i'm sorry, this is brilliant - i reckon sy would dig this too. also, about the audience not getting it.... emm... that's sonic youth all over... most people dont get sonic youth as it is. go play confusion is next to a normal person who "loves music", killers or some stuff like that... and they'll probably think it's pure crap. i think it's a wonderful thing to take a track like schizophrenia and use it like this.

Ah, it's on youtube! I saw this when it was on TV a while back.
The concert was in Northampton, MA, strangely, where Kim and Thurston live. |

I was really touched.
this isn't goofy (okay maybe a little) or scary & of course they got (finally) it - as far you can "get" such a song anyhow. It was nice to see them being cooler than they ever wanted to be and they feel fine, pride & I think "hey, maybe getting old must not be such a drag!" btw.: I wasn't here at this forum for a long time. Is it just me thinking, that there are much too much "fuckin'awesomebitchfuckinhilariousawesome" - comments around here - plus the annoying pix (sometimes funny for the first time like nature scenes cats, but why do I have to see them in every of the 302 posts of nature scene?) |
