Yeah Badly Drawn Boy. I bought most of his albums, but nothing was as good as his first.

but please don't leave out Stankonia and Speaker/Love Below. they hold up on their own and deserve any top ten. as classic as anything The Doors or The Beatles released. yeah, i freaking said it!!!!!! timeless.

oh the skrip club memories i have of those fools. even today i heard them blastin while pumpin gas. classick.

I love Stankonia and Speaker/Love... you gotta understand these were top 10's for that actual year. Meaning, if I made a list NOW of my Top 2005 albums it's probably way diff than the 10 I listened to most during 2005. Y'know?

you lost me after 2007, consequently the year i stop giving a damn about new releases. no wonder hip hop dominates yr top albums after 2007. just goes to show.

2000 to 2006 was a fabulous time for music.

Badly drawn boy... Yeah. That guy was awful. I do still enjoy one or two tracks from the first album. Well, one. Track 13 I think. It turns to noise after about 2:00 minutes, and I think it's pretty damn good. Especially for that guy, who, again, is pretty awful. Crazy imagination though... I went to his website once. Fairies and bunnies and shit bouncing all over hell. Weird. Likely at least a regency bit schizophrenic, but what are ya gonna do?

By the way, I also have a backlog of top ten albums and top ten song dating back to 1993, and I too can only find 2000 forward. Things got a little weird around 96-97, so I can't say I mind losing those first few years. But I did make some good picks even in the early days. Experimental Jet Set is in there, more than one Dinosaur Jr record from the wayward days, and In Utero was #1 in 1993. Can't say I'd make the same decision now, but still... pretty solid, I guess.
