Hi there, im gonna go in a few weeks to the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and i was looking for some interesting record stores (from time to time i know there's some argentinian fellows that pass by around here), perhaps where i can find some vinyls, maybe used records on some street market, photograph/graphic books, magazines, or some interesting fanzines, and dvds
i was googling and found that a place called Galeria Bond Street was like a good place where some shops were around but i think i got it wrong and that's not located in Buenos Aires anyways if anyone might help, i'll appreciate it, thanks a lot in advance |

Hey hello fuctim here I am. Yes there is definitely a Galerķa Bond Street in Buenos Aires where you can find records to match your taste (if you're a Sonic Youth lover, we know you have a good one), bookstores that deal in rare books, comic books store, even cool clothing stores if you like. Definitively the best place to start in Buenos Aires, it is in Santa Fe Ave. and Montevideo St., there are various galleries around but look for the one that says "Galerķa Bond Street" on the tiles at the entrance (on Santa Fe)... There's a nice square nearby so you can go and listen to your recently acquired records in your discman or read your recently acquired books. Nice place to be with nice view of the Ministry of Education Building (a friend of mine works over there). If you like go to Florida Street to see the fancy shops and people dancing tango in the streets, but first you gotta go there. Good luck! If you want a guide contact me, hahaha. Have a nice trip!

And yes they've got vinyls over there...but if you keep walking through Santa Fe down West (towards where the number of buildings increase) on the same side of the street, before you run into some church there's another Gallery, not so famous but inside there's an ultra cool vinyl shop. I used to go there some years ago before I sold my vinyl player. Unfortunately I don't remember the exact # of the place but if you keep searching some badly lit, winding Gallery you'll find this one. Again, good luck!

AN IMPORTANT THING: I MADE A MISTAKE. To get to the other gallery, you gotta go BACK, that is, down Santa Fe Ave. towards where the numbers DECREASE. You pass the church, and then one block or two away, there it is. Sorry about my mistake, it's been a long time since I don't go there and had the map backwards in my head. Now I have it right, I'm pretty sure about it. Good luck!

fuctim, I read your previous thread about this, you said you liked Reynols. I love them, but the only record edited in Argentina is the "dematerialized" record (the empty CD box). You'll have more luck contacting some of the records companies outside Argentina, through the Internet probably. A friend of mine gave me two recordings of them, "Roniles Dasa Selebro" and "Reynols/No Reynols". I could copy them for you and send them to you on the mail or when you come, if you want contact me by e-mail.
