Books bored me to death, and I absolutely hated the half-hour of the movie I watched. Thumbs down.
You forgot the Hobbit, though.

yeah, ive read through the hobbit, just to the part where bilbo gets the ring and then didnt read it any further.
yeah but the movies arent the same. in fellowship, when frodo gets stabbed by the witch king with a morgul blade, glorfindel gives frodo his horse and he rides it to rivendel, in the movie arwen saves him. and the part when they go into bree is wrong |

James Blonde thinks books are 10x better than the movies. Have some patience and time, and dive into reading. Very good entertainment.

I haven't read it because I lacked interest in the Hobbit. I respect it as a book though

James Blonde admits that Hobbit is bit childish compared to LOTR. But still good read.
And noone isn't brain-dead if doesn't like Tolkien's writings. |

The books and the movies are all fantastic. I still like Star Wars better though because Lucas had less money and resources to work with but still turned out the greatest trilogy in history (and then ruined it with the prequels).

i read the books multiple times during my teenage years, there's a bbc radio dramatisation thst is very good too, much better than the film. the films were a bit annoying.
the silmarillion is great too. i've tried reading unfinished tales vol.1 but it's kind of dull. |
